Heat Of The Sun

We had to wake up by some 4.30am (Siam Reap time) in order to catch the sunrise by 6am. We planned to go back Angkor Wat for this ceremony, and for sure already everybody was there, why did I get surprise eh? The sun rise got nothing much special because there was none, the clouds were blocking all of it so I only managed to take some early morning shots.

Driver then took us for breakfast, a stretch long of stalls beside Bayon and the food price there was obviously more expensive, for almost the same pork rice I had the day before with coffee, now it cost $4! But I just took like as doing some charity because the local Cambodian seems to live in poverty most of them.

day 2~

After breakfast the sun was already out, signaling my sun bath time has come. We went to visit Ta Phrom first which was famous for the Tomb Raider scene and also the trees rooted on temple sight. It was pretty good, but I’ve already seen too many stones in mold and collapsed ruins. Good thing was it was surrounded by big giant trees, so making our visit more bearable. Unlike Bayon which was completely treeless and we had to climb up flight of stair cases to see the smile of the god structure. Keeyit and I were simply finding a shaded place to sit and watch around and people around us. It was quite nice and we got to take some pictures.

And then I stopped remembering where we went, because they all looked almost the same, and I couldn’t figure out the scene as I was too sweaty to care. It was amazingly hot out there, just like noon time in Malaysia, it was unbearable for me.

day 2 again

By lunch time we head back to town for lunch and I had similar set lunch for $3. Then we all hid inside the guesthouse and slept most of the day. Initially we were to go out again by 4pm for sunset at one of the site, but the Monsoon sort of understood us and came heavily. So leaving us the evening on our own.

We went to eat Swensens ice cream (yes, they actually have it here) and I had a sundae cup for $2.60. Then Keeyit and I joined BodyTune for an aroma therapy massage which cost a huge $20 (normal massage was $5-$8 range) but we both were very satisfied with the service and I was glad that I got my muscled relaxed abit.

Dinner was good too, for $4.50 we got a 3 course meal on both Cambodian and Western cuisine, (I had the Amok fish, taste like curry) and draft beer on $0.50. It was a nice dinner I got so full because Keeyit doesn’t eat…. That night again I slept like instantly after crushing on bed (it was that good~)

day 2 again and again
