Star Trekking

I’m not a fan, and during their prime I was just a toddler, so Star Trek to me is just some cosmetic human alien and toy like space ship battle. And I couldn’t understand anything about their physics science conversations, so I was never a fan.

But I went to watch it anyway, since it was only RM6 on a Wednesday treat and the cinema is now just opposite my office, it is too convenient and too value worth to ignore, >_<

The movie has refreshed the elements of Star Trek but trying to link back with the original characters and story. Since I didn’t follow, so it was as good as a new movie to me. And Spork is just too cute (this young version of course… piff) for a Vulcan, no wonder that Uhura kept sticking to him like a glue. (it was actually hilarious to see her so obsessed to him although it was just mere minutes)

The movie was quite simple and I am amazed that time passed so fast while I couldn’t get the whole movie idea yet in 2 hours. Overall I think this movie is so so doing for a summer flick. But since JJ Abrams was so good in Quarantine and Spork is so cute (having to not liking him is… illogical, smirk) , I am willing to give this movie a 2 stars out of 5.
time to learn up ABC~
