Antique Cake Shop

Cute guys and desserts, what more could you ask for eh?

On one side it is soft eye candies, another side delicious hard candy, could I manage to get a dose of too much sweet at one time? The experience is ecstatic and I really couldn’t decide where to look at (wink wink). The movie is scripted based on the Japanese BL manga about 4 mei-shou-nian type of guys managing a cake shop with fancy french menu with an antique background environment. Full of romanticism, and full of dreamy feelings building up along the way (let alone one of them is gay, smirk).

All the elements needed to blast me out of my mind were there, but I didn’t actually, except the fact that the desserts were so tempting by just watching them and the face of actresses with a mouthful of sweetness. The movie has a very fast pace rhythm and I found it was trying to squeeze everything in as much as possible. But I was noticing myself hard to follow as I need to read the subtitles while watching cute guys and fancy cakes at the same time! >_<

Nevertheless, the movie, as most Korean titles, has a distinguish motive and brought up a chorus by the end to make things more emotional. And I am glad that it did, otherwise a romantic comedy is just too cheesy for the 4 cute guys. Generally I like the movie, and I am trying to get the Japanese cartoon version and found it even better.

For the sake of 4 cute guys (especially the sun shaded one, OMG!) and a variety of cakes, I give Antique Cake Shop and 3 out of 5 stars. So crave for a cake now (or even a guy :P )

Top Left is basically my perfect type of guy, appearance and personality!
