Marley & American Dream

I wanted to watch Marley & Me since last December, I know it would be a nice movie for the holiday season, and I thought it is a nice romantic comedy, but turned out it was a warm and fuzzy Amercian Dream movie. The movie, unlike the dog, is a smooth and predictable piece, so smooth I could use a chocolate latte to resemble it. But the Labrador, ai yah yah~ I would probably send him to others if I would have a dog like that, totally intolerable for such an undisciplined beast~

Sure a dog is cute, let alone a labrador, but man, this dog is really from the abyss of fire and caused so much troubles. And it is only a movie like that would treat it so well. Then again, I’m not American, perhaps they do behave this way. To me, I think this is a perfect American-ish family of life, where husband and wife newly wed, got a dog, having fun, busying in work, thinking of a baby, trying to have one, got a baby, fussy about the baby, got another, then another, fight over family matters, move to a bigger house, got a better job, and then an unfortunate sorrowful incident brought the family together, tears shed, but happy nonetheless. It is just beautiful.

It is a good movie I would say, beautifully directed and makes you think that life should be like this. 3 out of 5 stars~
