Album Of The Year 2008
It is such a tough call this year, two albums are standing tall with one of the old favourite and another a new found love.
Mariah Carey’s E=MC2 isn’t really her best to date work, but still she has delivered some really catchy tunes and one Bye Bye which tops among all new songs this year. Her album has about 13 or 14 songs, and I have the remaining 8 with an acoustic version of Love Story that I got recently. Some notables numbers includes Last Kiss, I Stay In Love, Touch My Body and Thanx 4 Nothing. It could be better, but still the album has a total of 553 playcount since April this year.
Khalil Fong, on the other hand, delivered a fresh mint tasteful tunes over the Mandarin music industry with his R&B and soul. He is one of the few singers that really got me impressed and a wholly good album. I only deleted 2 songs from the 11 tracks, and a total combined of 542 playcount, losing Mariah by just a horse nose if it wasn’t for the newly found acoustic number. Notable tracks include Love Song, Enough Not Enough, The Park, Forget Beauty and Sorry.
Mariah will tops for Album of the year, and also Best English Album, while Khalil’s Wonderland will scored for Best Mandarin Album. Kudos to both of them for being with me all the time in 2008. ^^
