Free Meal
Look carefully, it’s meal, not male. So don’t get me wrong.
Due to the major promotions of 6 major positions in my department, they have treated everyone in the department (over 100 people mind you) free breakfast. It was like the normal potluck session, only I didn’t need to pay this time. There were fried bee hun, curry chicken, nasi lemak Kampung Baru, banana cake, curry puff, roti canai, spaghetti, and jelly plus beverage. It was quite a variety on menu but I only ate beehun, curry and 3 slices of banana cake, yet I was grateful for a free breakfast and I didn’t feel hungry the whole morning until lunch. So bless them for their promotions, I think I won’t be able to see myself in this position in my AIA career, hehe.
Another coming meal is the year end dinner which HOD and new AVP are going to treat the management team. First they skipped the sales recog celebration party which I have already swallowed it down, but this one was supposed to be held in some Chinese restaurant that there will be “Lou Sang” which I was not so fond of. But today I received an email that they are going to change to eating-in in the office! They will call catering (much like this morning breakfast) for some buffet which I really doubt the delicious-ness of the food (except if the caterer is TGIF or something similar). I must say I was a little disappointed because of the downgraded promise, yet on the other hand I was okay because I didn’t like traditional Chinese cuisine course especially the disgusting “Lou Sang“. So we’ll see what happens.
