Shabu Shabu

That was the 3rd attempt that we tried to visit this Japanese style steamboat restaurant and again, obstacles of prior visitors were ahead of us blocking the way, but this time we stayed on, for about 40 minutes before actually obtaining a seat (5 actually) on the 2nd floor.

It was my first time going to this steamboat restaurant and I must confessed that I didn’t have much good impression towards it due to the previous two failed experience. And in truth I really didn’t like steamboat very much. But when we sat down and getting ready I started to understand why BB Alvin was recommending this place so intensively. First they have this merry go-round food service like the sushi restaurants where they put the ingredients on a runway and customers would just take whatever they want, and each plate has small portion so it won’t go waste on certain greedy customers.

And then there was a personal steam bowl for every one and you can put all things you want to eat and only serve you personally which is hygienic and customized. And third they made such a good sauce for the dressing, it has fried onions, sesame oil, spring onions and other stuff which was aromatic and really delicious to serve with the food.

The fun part began on each of us rushing for the food on the runway it was hilarious, and we got so many all our tables were full of food, and only we started to eat. I was happy with this experience. It was half cuisine experience half game playing. The price of RM25 for such a buffet can be considered luxury, but I personally think it is worth it when you go once a quarter or comparing to Shogun or even Jogoya or any other hotel buffet service. That’s why we went there AGAIN, 5 days only after my first experience, partly Kian and Kenneth were so into it and I was suspecting that they put some addictive element in their soup perhaps.

Anyhow, the restaurant is facing right at Giant Puchong Bandar Putri, the same row as with Citibank. But be reminded to go early (6pm) or late (9pm), any in between you would suffer from waiting in hunger…beware.
