Jogoya

It has become an attraction to me when I first arrived in Kuala Lumpur, some 17 months ago, that Jogoya Japanese buffet is THE restaurant one has to try when living in KL. But most interesting is its price, where RM88++ is a luxury to most people, particularly to say, middle class and below. So to me, this is something to look for, when in Rome, so to speak.

Well, again as I said, after 17 months in KL, the time has finally arrived, and I am getting an opportunity to experience the eating journey in this well known restaurant (more on its fame than its quality I reckoned). We are celebrating (farewell) Felicia’s soon departure and everyone was excited when Jogoya came into the picture, and we went for it on this Friday evening, even it was raining, even it was congested, even they confused with the location and went for another restaurant, but we didn’t care, we sat down, with 6 people yet to show up, started our time of feast and stomach sacrifice.

I ate a lot, as much as my stomach could handle, and there’s Haagen Dazz, Baskin Robins and an Russian ice cream, all came with different 6 flavours. I had 10 scoops, it was more than I could bargain for, and I am satisfied with such achievement, even I didn’t eat much of real Japanese cuisine.

Overall, I do not think spending more than RM100 for a meal is really a deal in any sort, no matter how good you eat, no matter how nice the service is, no matter how beautiful the decorative environment, it just simply not good for a person like me, with such personality, with such financial status, with such stomach capability. But if you have someone to treat you a special meal, or there is a superb promotion, then I highly recommend Jogoya, as it is indeed one thing one should not miss when one is rich enough.
