Penang Frequency
I initially made such a plan that I will go home once a quarter, which means 4 times a year. But well, the cutie niece just got me stuck with her and I always wanted to see her and be part of her growing little life. So this year, I have been going home for about 8 times, that’s twice of my plan!
The recent was this mid of November, which probably would make my last trip in year 2007. And this time, the cutie niece stands at 16 months, she could walk very swiftly, and is able to understand some of adult’s language (funny how adult could hardly learn what they are talking about). She has learned that toys is something for fun, and can address her closed daily activity partners with additional command of “No-la” (this is how Malaysian “la” culture came in brew).
Of course, apart of Cutie, I also love to reunite with my family (except my lousy father), and there’s Astro too, I enjoy flipping the channel in a quiet and dark 1am while searching junk food in the fridge, it is a very lazy and comfortable entertainment for me being alone and in control of the TV.
Penang has now shrunk into just Vistaria Condo to me (or a little Queensbay mall) as I only spend the time with my family at home, or out eating with my family. I have no more intention to meet up with my old friends or colleagues, I am not sure if you call this as moving forward or backward, but I only want to stay at home, having my family around me and doing my own stuff. It is that relax, no pressure at all.
She is so cute..
