Body Step

Body Step is one of the Le Mills Group Exercise program provided by Fitness First for fellow members. It uses a bench and the instructor will run a series of staircase stepping exercise combination with a fast pace music as background. This is one of the cardiovascular exercise and it really makes you sweat a lot and train your heart.

So apparently BB Alvin is a freak of Body Step, apart of him having so much “energy” to burn for the class, he is also proud of it as he has learned and experienced in all the step combinations. So it is an easy task for him to burn extra calories.

Naturally, I am only being influenced by him to join the class. Not that I detest of it, but I would prefer my Body Pump class for further weight and muscle gaining and toning. Still it is always good to try something new, and after 5 class of Body Steps, I found the class quite enjoyable, even though I am still a mess in some moves.

The hard part is you have to remember the steps as it changed with the verses of the song, and some times you legs and arms just couldn’t do the move at the same time and got all knotted up. Still I am glad every time I came out all sweating like a drown mouse, it is that relief. So I probably will keep on going to the class until I master all the step movements.

  1. I have been a Bosy Step Instructor for two years. If the instructor is cueing corrextly you should have no trouble with the moves. However it is hard to learn 12 tracks, remember all the steps AND tell your entire class what to do 8 counts before you have to! Keep it up though, it is a lot of fun!
