Lousy Malaysian LRT System
I can give you many reasons why it is lousy, but it’s worthless to name one by one since it’s so many, and you probably would have loathed it more if you didn’t realize that yet. But just this week, 2 more reasons have been added to the list.
The first thing I came to Masjid Jamek station on Monday was noticing how crowded it was. By the time I came up to the station, I found out they had blocked one of the entrance and people come and go have to be squeezed in one single path, and I also noticed that they were going to undergo some kind of maintenance or upgrade work on the LRT station. Soon by the time I came home, I had to cross the street, used the underground tunnel to walk backwards to the station, it caused more time, more inconvenient and had to squeeze among more people. The next day I purposely went to read the notice they pasted on the wall, and apparently this so called upgrading work will take 5 months, completed by April 30 2008.
I mean, it’s only 1 station, and it’s the busiest station due to the interchange, and these people have to take 5 months to rework on a single station? Are they intending to build a 5 storey platform or something? And after 3 days, nothing has been done, but they still block what was done on Monday. And they didn’t start during the previous week during Raya when there were least people. I really can’t tolerate how bad their management was and how they didn’t consider they benefit of the passengers, let alone by means that this station is the busiest station of all. I was fairly disappointed by this and my faith for using a public transport has been shattered even more this week.
(will continue reason 2 tomorrow)
