8 Fish Left
As expected, yesterday I spotted one of the Neon Tetra is having some white stuff on his (I presumed) top fin, and today it’s getting worse. I switched the giant female pinky one back to the tank and place the poor Neon on the quarantined tank, he was merely swimming anymore. I tried to follow the online guide by giving him a salt bath, or more like a salty water pool for him, but the fungus (again I presumed) was getting bigger and bigger on his body, soon he lost his balance and floating in the water up side down. By 2.35pm, I called it time of death.
This is the second death in the 4th day of my aquarium, I treat it as a new tank symptoms and did not blame on myself for their cause. I drained the poor thing into the toilet and said a grace. And also I’ve switched the tank from the crowdy table to the previous TV location in the corner, I hope this would give my remaining 8 fish more peace and serenity. And so far they seem to like it there, even the female one didnt’ really biting the others anymore. But I am suspecting on the two Serpea Tetra as their lower fin is getting some white line, could it be another outburst of disease? And one of the big Neon Tetra is getting similar symptoms on her mouth too. (cross my fingers)
I spent most of my yesterday evening reading all the internet guidelines on keeping fish, I wish I could at least get a glimpse of knowledge to treat this present (exclusively by BB Alvin) well and correctly. It’s been years I had kept fish and basically all my previous experience was based on intuition, so hardly to guess that they all died eventually due to various causes.
As for this tank, I mark it as the new start for my birthday and the life of pet keeping. Cheerio ^^
