Chinese Friends
Last night I met with my long time lost contact Chinese girl friend XiaoHu, accompanying her are two friends, one I knew, the other looked familiar. Three from them coming to Malaysia for vacation, and greatly how they travelled using Air Asia, from XMN->BKK->KUL->KTB->KUL->KKB->KUC->KUL->-MCU->XMN, all within 2 weeks time, it’s amazing how instant nowadays a person can travel.
She was as cute as before, only added perhaps just one wrinkle over the years, but behavior wise, still stood at the age of 18, or 8. I was glad to see her again, but I didn’t really have the gut to tell her that I have a bf now, although she didn’t ask, although I quite imagined that it would lead to a great surprise and fun conversation if I ever brought it out.
I treated them a meal at Little Penang, level 6 at Suria KLCC eventhough I’m broke. The food sucked and I regretably mentioned to them that I recommended a false impression on the delicious Penang cuisine. I should have spent more and treated them Madam Kwan.
Anyway, just a simple stroll and catching up with them, I didn’t even take any photo with them for the 3 hours meeting. But XiaoHu did sort of jokingly told me that this could be our last meeting in our life time. It was sad, but it could probably be true, how bad it is to think of this way, yet you can’t really help it, because you can’t make it up for everyone that you have known and wanted to be together. Life’s imperfect and we just have to deal with it.
